UPDATE: My apologies for botching the clue for 30A in the hard puzzle…y’all know what it should say…sigh.

Hello, hello, hello! Is this real life? I’m posting a new puzzle here–a triple-stack themeless–for the first time in 3 months! Summer’s afoot, so there really aren’t any schoolwork excuses…thus, I’m pleased to say that I plan on being back every Monday with a new offering! You can even hold your breath, as I’m already prepared with a pipeline and everything.

In addition to just “being back,” I’m looking to “upgrade” my presence a bit for your enjoyment. Most importantly, The Grid Kid is now on Twitter! I just made this thing last night, so my profile is pretty barren, but go ahead and give me a follow if you wanna stay updated on my puzzles/puzzle rants/sports & music rants/just wanna talk. I plan on being pretty active on it, tbh. Gives me an outlet centered around my work so that I don’t have to bombard my Facebook friends anymore.

Also, I’m thinking for puzzles with some tough grids/entries, as with the case today, I want to start writing multiple sets of clues. This is so that, ideally, you won’t need to be some top-notch indie solver to crack my craziest of puzzles! As a constructor, it’ll help me hone my cluing skills, too, so I’m looking forward to progressing for all of our benefits.

Finally, all of the links to my old puzzle files should be fixed on the Puzzles page of my site! For those of you that joined late and are looking to tackle some of my older constructions, you no longer have to worry about your computer being infected by my stupid former file-hosting sites…sigh. Please note, however, that these links have not been tweaked on their original blog posts, and only on the Puzzles page. Hopefully I’ll get around to that someday, but it’ll take time.

Spread the word of my return, and I’ll be back next Monday with a simple themed puz!

  1. Seconding what Pete said: it was good to meet you at the Indie 500.

I enjoyed the hard version of this puzzle – nice and timely triple stack. 🙂

  2. Wow, I figured you were banned from the interwebz! Excellent puzzle with 36-A being a standout clue. Didn’t know 31-A, 32-D, 44-A, 57-A and some others in the SW corner but it was solvable through some other crosses which is the mark of a well-constructed puzzle IMHO. Enjoyed it as usual. Welcome back.
